On November 25, 2025, a client from Uganda visited Harbin Dongan Building Sheets Co., Ltd. to inspect the company’s factory and discuss a steel structure project for an industrial building. The visit focused on the required steel structure products, manufacturing capabilities, quality control and supply arrangements, providing both sides with an opportunity to discuss the project directly.
During the factory visit, the Dongan team accompanied the client through the production workshops and related manufacturing areas, introducing the company’s production processes, fabrication equipment, quality control procedures and the main stages of steel component production. The client was able to gain a direct view of the manufacturing process, from raw material processing and component fabrication to finished-product inspection, while also learning more about Dongan’s production organization and project delivery capabilities.
Industrial building steel structure projects usually involve a large number of components in different specifications and require careful coordination of dimensions, connections, fabrication accuracy and production schedules. For overseas projects, steel components must also be properly packaged for export, transported and eventually delivered to the local construction site. The connection between factory production and on-site installation was therefore an important consideration during the inspection.
Dongan is mainly involved in steel structures, building envelope systems and cold storage projects, with experience in industrial buildings, warehouses and workshops. During the visit, both sides discussed the steel structure requirements of the Ugandan industrial building project, including component fabrication, production schedules and subsequent supply arrangements. The client also reviewed product specifications and manufacturing capabilities in relation to the actual project requirements.
The project discussions also covered quality control, production scheduling, export packaging and logistics. For an overseas customer, an on-site factory inspection provides a more direct way to evaluate a supplier’s manufacturing conditions and project execution capabilities, while allowing both sides to confirm their understanding of the products and supply process before formal cooperation.
Compared with evaluating a supplier only through online photographs, documents and meetings, a factory visit allows customers to directly observe production equipment, fabrication conditions and quality management procedures. For steel structure projects, this type of communication is particularly useful for discussing component fabrication, identification, packaging and transportation, all of which are closely connected with subsequent installation.
The visit also represented another step in Dongan’s continued engagement with project opportunities in Africa. In recent years, the company has participated in overseas industrial buildings, warehousing facilities and related construction projects while maintaining communication with contractors, traders and project owners from different countries and regions.
Following the visit, both sides will continue technical and commercial discussions as the industrial building steel structure project progresses, further confirming product configurations, production schedules and supply arrangements.
