On September 27, 2025, a Spanish client visited Harbin Dongan Building Sheets Co., Ltd. to inspect the company’s factory and discuss a steel structure project for an industrial building. The visit focused on the required steel structure products, manufacturing capabilities, quality control and potential supply arrangements, providing both sides with an opportunity to discuss the project directly.
During the factory inspection, the Dongan team accompanied the client through the production workshops and related manufacturing areas, introducing the company’s production processes, fabrication equipment, quality control procedures and the main stages of steel structure manufacturing. The client was able to gain a direct view of how steel components are processed, fabricated and inspected, while also learning more about Dongan’s production organization and project delivery capabilities.
Industrial steel structure projects usually involve a large number of components in different specifications and require close coordination between design, fabrication, transportation and on-site installation. For overseas projects, fabricated steel components must also be sorted, identified, properly packaged for export and transported to the construction site. Manufacturing capabilities therefore affect not only the products themselves, but also the efficiency of subsequent project execution.
Dongan is mainly involved in steel structures, building envelope systems and cold storage projects, with experience in industrial buildings, warehouses, workshops and other construction applications. During the visit, both sides discussed the structural requirements of the Spanish client’s project, including steel structure configurations, component fabrication, production schedules, quality control and subsequent supply arrangements. The client also reviewed Dongan’s manufacturing conditions and steel structure products in relation to the actual project requirements.
The project discussions also covered production schedules, quality inspection, export packaging and logistics. For an overseas customer, an on-site factory inspection provides a more direct way to evaluate a supplier’s manufacturing conditions and project execution capabilities. It also allows both sides to clarify product requirements and supply procedures before moving forward with formal cooperation.
Compared with evaluating a supplier through product documents, photographs and online meetings, a factory visit allows customers to directly observe production equipment, fabrication conditions and quality management procedures. For industrial steel structure projects, face-to-face communication is also useful for discussing component identification, fabrication accuracy, packaging methods and transportation arrangements that are closely connected with subsequent installation.
The visit represented an important opportunity for Dongan to strengthen project communication with the European market. As international demand continues for industrial buildings, warehouses and related building systems, overseas customers are paying increasing attention to a steel structure supplier’s manufacturing capabilities, project coordination and supply reliability. A factory visit provides both sides with a more direct understanding of each other’s capabilities and project requirements.
