On April 29, 2026, a Russian client visited Harbin Dongan Building Sheets Co., Ltd. to inspect the company’s factory and discuss a modular housing project. The purpose of the visit went beyond evaluating individual products. The client wanted to gain a direct understanding of Dongan’s manufacturing capabilities, product range and project supply capacity before moving forward with potential cooperation on the modular housing project.
During the factory visit, the Dongan team accompanied the client through the production workshops and related manufacturing areas, introducing the company’s production processes, equipment, quality control procedures and product fabrication. The on-site inspection allowed the client to see how building materials and related products are manufactured, from raw materials through processing and production to finished products, while also gaining a clearer understanding of their potential applications in construction projects.
Modular housing projects place particular importance on coordination between different building components and manufacturing processes. Compared with conventional construction, modular buildings generally involve a higher degree of prefabrication and factory production before the components are transported to the project site for assembly. Dimensions, connections, building envelope systems and coordination between components can therefore have a direct impact on transportation and installation efficiency. Dongan is mainly involved in steel structures, building envelope systems and cold storage projects, with experience in supplying building envelope products and participating in steel structure and related construction projects. For an overseas customer, a factory inspection provides a more direct way to evaluate a supplier’s manufacturing capabilities and can reduce the information gap created by relying solely on photographs, documents and online communication. This is particularly relevant to modular construction, where multiple components need to be coordinated before transportation and installation.
The visit also reflects Dongan’s continued communication with the Russian market. The company has been following demand in Russia and other overseas markets for industrial buildings, building envelope systems, cold storage and related construction projects, while maintaining contact with international partners through exhibitions, project discussions and factory visits.
Following the visit, both sides will continue discussions on the modular housing project and further clarify product configurations, technical requirements and supply arrangements as the project develops. Dongan will continue to use its manufacturing and project supply capabilities to explore practical cooperation models with overseas customers.
