Philippine Client Visits Dongan for Building Envelope Projects

On September 5, 2025, a client from the Philippines visited Harbin Dongan Building Sheets Co., Ltd. to discuss building envelope panels and cold storage enclosure systems. Rather than focusing on individual products alone, the visit centered on how different building envelope solutions could be matched with the client’s actual project requirements.

The Philippine market presents a different set of requirements from colder regions. Industrial buildings and warehouses need to balance thermal insulation, weather resistance and construction efficiency, while food processing, agricultural storage and logistics facilities place greater emphasis on maintaining controlled temperatures. As a result, panel type, thickness, detailing and supporting components may vary significantly depending on the application.

This was one of the reasons behind the client’s visit to Dongan. A factory visit provides a more practical way to evaluate products than simply reviewing a catalogue. By seeing the production process and discussing specifications directly with the manufacturer, the client could better understand how different panel configurations might fit into the planned projects.

During the visit, the Dongan team introduced the manufacturing process for building envelope panels and explained key stages including panel fabrication, dimensional control and finished-product production. The client reviewed the relevant production conditions and supply capabilities and discussed potential product specifications for the projects.

Cold storage enclosure systems were another major topic of discussion. Unlike conventional industrial buildings, cold storage facilities place greater emphasis on the continuity and thermal performance of the enclosure. Cold storage panels, cold room doors, walls, roofs and corner details need to work together as part of an integrated system. For prefabricated cold rooms, coordination between factory production, packaging, transportation and on-site assembly also needs to be considered at an early stage.

Dongan is involved in steel structures, building envelope systems and various cold storage projects, allowing the discussion to extend beyond individual panels. Based on the client’s requirements, both sides exchanged views on building applications, enclosure materials, product configurations, production schedules and export supply. This project-oriented approach gave the client a clearer basis for evaluating how the products could fit into the actual construction requirements.

The visit also reflects a broader change in how overseas customers evaluate building material suppliers. For many projects, product price is only one part of the purchasing decision. Manufacturing according to project requirements, coordination between different components, export packaging and logistics can all have a direct impact on project execution.

For Dongan, the visit provided another opportunity to better understand the Southeast Asian construction and cold-chain markets. Direct project discussions help the company gain a clearer picture of customer requirements and identify product and supply solutions that are better aligned with specific applications.

Following the visit, both sides will continue technical and commercial discussions and further confirm product configurations, production schedules and supply arrangements as the projects develop. Dongan will continue to draw on its experience in steel structures, building envelopes and cold storage projects to provide overseas customers with product support suited to real project applications.
