Bangladeshi Client Visits Dongan for a Small Modular Cold Room Project

On August 29, 2025, a client from Bangladesh visited Harbin Dongan Building Sheets Co., Ltd. to discuss a small modular cold storage project and inspect the company’s manufacturing facilities. The visit focused on product configuration, manufacturing capabilities, application requirements and supply arrangements, allowing both sides to clarify the practical requirements of the project through direct communication.

Although small cold storage projects are relatively limited in scale, they still require careful coordination between different components and efficient on-site installation. Cold storage panels, cold room doors, connecting components and insulation systems need to work together as a complete enclosure. The dimensions and internal layout also need to be adapted to the available space. For small and medium-sized cold-chain applications, flexible configuration and supply efficiency are therefore important considerations.

This was one of the reasons behind the Bangladeshi client’s visit to Dongan. Instead of evaluating a supplier only through photographs, product catalogues or online meetings, an on-site visit provides a more practical way to understand the manufacturing process and discuss suitable configurations based on actual project requirements. The Dongan team introduced the relevant cold storage products and explained the company’s production and supply process.

At the production site, the client reviewed the fabrication and manufacturing of cold storage panels and related enclosure products. The two sides discussed panel specifications, thickness options, connection methods and product packaging, while also considering how the different components would work together during transportation and on-site assembly.

Small modular cold rooms are often suitable for applications such as food storage, agricultural produce preservation, food-service distribution and small-scale cold-chain logistics. They can generally be configured according to the available space and specific usage requirements. For overseas projects, however, the products must be transported from the factory to the destination market, making packaging, container loading and protection during transportation important parts of the supply process.

Dongan is mainly involved in steel structures, building envelope systems and various cold storage projects, with experience in supplying cold storage panels, cold room doors and related enclosure systems. During this visit, the discussion therefore went beyond individual products. Both sides looked at the overall requirements of the small modular cold room, including enclosure configuration, product supply and potential issues that could arise during project execution.

For an overseas customer, a factory inspection is also a practical way to verify a supplier’s actual manufacturing conditions. By observing production equipment, fabrication areas and manufacturing processes directly, the client can form a clearer view of the supplier’s capabilities. At the same time, face-to-face communication allows both sides to identify issues related to product specifications, packaging, transportation and installation that may require further coordination.

The visit provided another opportunity for Dongan to engage with project demand in the South Asian market. As food processing, agricultural distribution and cold-chain logistics continue to develop, small temperature-controlled storage facilities have potential applications in emerging markets. Compared with large cold storage projects, modular cold rooms can be configured more flexibly according to available space and actual operating requirements.

Following the visit, both sides will continue technical and commercial discussions regarding the small modular cold storage project and further confirm product configurations, production schedules and supply arrangements as the project develops. Dongan will continue to draw on its experience in cold storage and building envelope projects to provide overseas customers with products and supply support suited to their actual project requirements.
